From September '97 through the end of December '05, I worked with the Delaware Department of Justice as a deputy attorney general. As a D.A.G., I have prosecuted cases in magistrate court, family court, the Court of Common Pleas and Superior Court in both New Castle and Kent counties.

I have prosecuted cases including simple traffic offenses (including DUI), domestic violence offenses, forgery, home improvement fraud, burglary, robbery and even capital murder. While with the Department of Justice, I also served as an instructor on multiple occasions at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South Carolina, teaching trial advocacy skills to new prosecutors. I left the Department of Justice at the end of December '05 to start my own criminal defense practice beginning in January '06.

Before that, from November '89 through the end of August '97, I worked with the Department of Corrections initially as a probation/parole officer. As a probation/parole officer, I supervised Level II and Level III caseloads. During my tenure, I was promoted to senior probation/parole officer (in charge of over 1,200 Level I cases) and eventually to probation/parole supervisor. As a supervisor, I was initially in charge of intake, institutional release, master files, work programs, and the Level 1 Unit, supervising a staff of over 15 people. Later on, I became the supervisor of the Day Reporting Center in the Wilmington office.

Working in the criminal justice system for over 20 years now, it should be easy for you to see that I certainly bring a lot of unique experience to the table that you simply will not find in other defense attorneys. I look forward to the opportunity to put all of this experience to work for you!
